Planning & Zoning

Dunn’s Land Use Plan and Future Land Use Map were adopted in draft form in June 2022. The final version was adopted by City Council December 13, 2022.  The adopted Land Use Plan can be found on the right side in the column of links, under Plans and information, the Land Use Plan and Map.

The Land Use Plan and Map will help guide the implementation of the Imagine Dunn Strategic Vision Plan. The Land Use Plan is divided into three sections: (1) Introduction; (2) Existing Conditions and Analysis; and (3) Recommendations. The Recommendations section includes the Future Land Use Map and Policies.

The Future Land Use Map is divided into “character areas.” The purpose of developing character areas is to provide descriptive guidance to decision-makers while allowing room for interpretation and flexibility. A description of each of the eight character areas is on page 28. The Future Land Use Map is on page 29. The policies are on pages 31-34.
