Administration / Administrative Assistant/Office Manager - Part Time

The Dunn Area Tourism Authority is looking for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant/Office Manager to join our exciting team! We are seeking a candidate who is an energetic, motivated, fun-loving professional with excellent oral and written skills. This role is essential in providing support to ensure smooth operations and exceptional visitor experiences. ⁃ Position requires organizational skills and technical skills including Microsoft office suite and other computer applications. ⁃ Performs data entry and other normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files, answering phones, mail, and email. ⁃ Perform clerical activities including, but not limited to expense reporting, and general record keeping. ⁃ Coordinates calendar meetings, travel bookings, and oversee incoming correspondence and request. ⁃ Independently plan, research, and create reports proposals documents as needed for meetings. ⁃ Must be able to take meeting minutes and summarize discussions for Director and distribute to board members. ⁃ Financial duties will consist of expense reports; processing payments; invoices and billing. QuickBooks experience is a plus. ⁃ Greet and assist visitors, providing information about local attractions, events, and services. ⁃ Collaborate with team members to enhance visitor engagement and satisfaction. ⁃ Support marketing efforts by distributing promotional materials and updating social media platforms. *This part-time position (9am-2pm Monday - Friday) offers flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to our mission of promoting local tourism.

  • Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education/experience in a related field • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment. • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. • Previous experience in an administrative role is a plus. • A passion for tourism and local culture is highly desirable. • Must possess a valid NC Driver License.

The city of Dunn was incorporated on February 12, 1887, at which time it was a logging town and a turpentine distilling center. The name honors Bennett Dunn, who supervised the construction of the railway line between Wilson and Fayetteville.
