Public Works / Street Maintenance Worker (Seasonal)

The City of Dunn Public Works Department is seeking applicants for seasonal Maintenance Workers. Employee performs varied tasks to help maintain and preserve the upkeep and appearance of our Downtown streets, sidewalks and alleyways which would include: mowing, weed eating, edging, cutting limbs, picking up trash, removing fallen leaves, filling potholes, ect.

  • Minimum Requirements
    All candidates must be able to drive trucks and operate light and medium equipment needed to complete jobs. Must possess a valid NC Driver License.
  • Starting Salary Range
    $13.56 per hour

Dunn was originally called "Lucknow" and was renamed in 1873

The city of Dunn was incorporated on February 12, 1887, at which time it was a logging town and a turpentine distilling center. The name honors Bennett Dunn, who supervised the construction of the railway line between Wilson and Fayetteville.
