Parks & Recreation / Recreation Center Attendant- Part time

The City of Dunn is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Recreation Center Attendant. This employee is responsible for scheduling use of the multi-purpose room, the racquetball court and the gym; answers phones and responds to general questions and inquiries; accepts payments; assists in general maintenance and upkeep of the facility by sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning windows and bathrooms; demonstrates proper use of gym equipment.

  • Minimum Requirements
    High school graduate with related experience or training preferred Ability to multi-task Excellent communication skills Must have a pleasant customer service attitude Ability to work with minimal supervision Must be able to work every other Saturday (8am to 3pm) and an occasional week night (3pm to 8pm)

Dunn was originally called "Lucknow" and was renamed in 1873

The city of Dunn was incorporated on February 12, 1887, at which time it was a logging town and a turpentine distilling center. The name honors Bennett Dunn, who supervised the construction of the railway line between Wilson and Fayetteville.
